Lost wax casting creates elegant details on this solid brass "French" handle. We cast our antique reproductions from genuine American antique home hardware.

We used this simple design on our Cremone Door Bolts, the long stem bolts that secure a door to a floor or upper door frame. The French style handles are ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) friendly. Sold in unlacquered brass, to age to a beautiful golden color over time. Also available in our antique finishes to blend well with older home hardware.

NOTE: French handles are sold singly. To make a complete set, please order two handles plus one L-S5 spindle.

We offer an extensive selection of Victorian doorknob roses and doorknob backplates in many styles to suit this lever handle. 

How far from the edge of the door is the center of your doorknob? This is the backset, and determines which latch or mortise lock you use. Fora 2 3/8" backset, we offer a tubular latch , and a privacy tubular deadbolt latch option. Very narrow panel doors or doors with lots of glass may need a 1 3/8" backset passage latch .

If you prefer a full mortise lock with key function and mortise lock with privacy turnlatch function , we have 1 3/4", 2 1/4" or 2 5/8" backset. If you also need a turnlatch knob, we have an oval knob turnlatch , and the popular crescent shape turnlatch.

Lever handle measures 4 3/8" x 1" by 2" tall. Diameter of base is 5/8".
