ZLW-333 Door Speakeasy Reproduction Oval Door Security Viewer (Pictured)
ZLW-OB333 Oil Rubbed Bronze Door Speakeasy Reproduction Oval Door Security Viewer
Door grille viewer with inside door opening to see clearly without opening the door. Very neat and useful size. Solid brass, patina finished to an antique brass color. This style works well with all types of home, including Arts & Crafts, Mission, Art Deco, and Bungalow. Clean, symmetrical lines with a minimum of space needed.
Approx 2 3/4" wide by 4 1/4" tall overall. The outdoor face plate has a 1 5/8" diameter viewing hole.
Both the front and back halves of the viewer are constructed with brass tubes which slide into each other for a nicely finished hole thru the door. They are slightly different diameters so they slide into each other, allowing for several thicknesses of doors.
A hole of approx 1 7/8" would need to be drilled into the door for the viewing tube. Minimum door thickness before having to grind or cut the brass tubes is 1 1/8". Maximum door thickness for complete brass tube coverage, with the existing tube additions, is 1 7/8". All door thicknesses from 1 1/8" to 1 7/8" thickness work without further needs. Thicker doors could add a 2" diameter tube for a complete finished look on all doors thicker than 1 7/8".
Two screws are supplied for mounting, spaced 2 1/2" apart cc. They measure 2" long and will work for most standard doors. If however they are too long, or too short, they are standard 8/32 thread, brass screws with countersunk heads. Many lengths should be available at all hardware stores very inexpensively.
