Victorian style mortised door lock with 2 keys for the skeleton lock mechanism.  Accepts square shaft doorknobs.  Bolt is fully reversible for left or right hand doors.  Choose from our unlacquered yellow brass, or "antique" patinas.

Case Size:  4" tall x 3" wide & 1/2" thick.

Backset:  2 1/4".

Distance from center of doorknob shaft hole to the center of the round keybit is 2 1/4".

Lock Face:  7/8" x 6".  Catch plate: 4 1/2" x 1" less tongue

The case of the L-9 mortise lock is stamped brass.  For a finer quality, cast metal mortise body, see our L-299PL for a 2 5/8" backset, or L-400PL for a 2 1/4" backset.  Both of these cast locks come with skeleton key function.
